What is Chollima Studio?

Taking our name from the winged horse of east-Asian mythology, Chollima Studio is the one-stop shop for artwork from the DPRK (North Korea) as well as the former Soviet Union and the rest of the communist world. We’ve been operating since 2019 and have built up an extensive collection of paintings; notably, our collection includes many pieces by Korea’s top artists.

As you browse, keep an eye out for the pieces by ‘Merited Artists’, ‘People’s Artists’ & ‘Master Artists’. These paintings come from Pyongyang’s most celebrated creators and are rarely on sale outside the DPRK.

All the artwork on the website is available to purchase. Be aware that we are based in China and so shipping times will likely vary depending on where in the world you’re purchasing from. But we’re committed to selling our artwork across all four corners of the world (with free shipping included!).
